Nigeria To Host First Social Media Summit In Abuja.

The Nigerian Social Media Summit #NSMS2018 focused on the business, educational and political sector has been unveiled in Nigeria today. The event slated to hold in Abuja on August 12-14, 2018 is being organised by MY EVENTS a Malaysian-Nigerian company with 10 years’ experience and expertise in events crafting with endorsement by the Nigerian government.

Speaking to news men and social media practitioners today in Abuja, the Chairman of MY EVENTS Ltd Mr. Miebaka Kenneth Adoki explained the idea of bringing this huge summit to Nigeria referring Nigeria as ripe for social media enterprises. In his words, “Nigeria deserves to host the summit considering that Social media is a cost effective industry that enhances visibility, and considering the total population and number of internet users that are ever increasing makes it a huge untapped sector for empowerment in Nigeria. There is also a huge opportunity for everyone to get on social media, and use social media effectively and actively even in the forthcoming elections”.
The objectives of the summit include to improve social media skills for global competitiveness, achieve measurable PR awareness, build achievable people-centric missions and goals, establish trust and drive realistic end results, approach and address Gen-Y issues in a timely manner, infuse educational values, increase visibility and be reachable to the masses.

An expert in the  housing sector and the Managing Director of Symphony Garden City, Lagos State, Mr. Bola Adeboye has identified the strict policies of the government as factors responsible for low investment in housing sector by foreign investors. Adeboye lamented that the polices of the government on housing has become unbearable for investors hence the reason why they avoid the sector. The Managing Director who spoke after his Investors' Forum on the proposed Symphony Garden Estate at Ogudu, Oworo - Shoki area of Lagos state decried the rate investors move their investment from Nigeria to other countries because of its stiff policies. World Remembers America 9/11, After 17years.

On this day  Tuesday September 11, 2001, by 8.46am to 10. 28am (EDT), what looks like a James Bond Film took place in America known as 9/11. A well coordinated terrorist attacks by Islamic terror group Al-Qaeda attacked America. The two plane crashed into the the north and south tower of the World Trade Center. Both building which are 110 and 42 Storey collapsed after 1hr 42 mins, trapping many who are trying to escape including firefighters on the building.
