NIGERIAS MINISTER OF YOUTH AND SPORTS DEVELOPMENT, SOLOMON DALUNG SEEKS MORE YOUTHS ENGAGEMENTS FROM THE DIASPORA
Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung have urged eminent Nigerians home and abroad to encourage programmes targeted at inspiring young people to greatness. The Minister disclosed this in Abuja when he was decorated as a Patron of the Nigerians in the Diaspora Mentoring Corps, (NIDMECORP) by its Commandant General, Alistair Soyode. Dalung who emphasized on the need for young people to be mentored, said youths can be easily distracted and discouraged from achieving their goals if proper mentorship is not followed. According to him, 'the problem of Nigerian youths is not poverty but poverty of knowledge'. The Minister while calling on the youths to re-discover themselves and avoid anything that will lead them to violence and corruption, noted that there is a wide gap between the leaders and the youths.
