Nigeria Raggae Legend Ras Kimono Is Dead.

Nigerians today Sunday 10th day of June 2018, were in shock and in disbelief as the news spread that legendary raggae artiste, Ukeleke Onwubuya popularly known as Ras Kimono is dead. He died Sunday morning in Lagos

Ras Kimo have just Celebrated his 60th Birthday and showed no sign of illness. He did some interview where he listed some of his plans and achievements in USA where he resides.

According to Daily Post, he was schedule to travel to the United States Saturday night, but complained of not feeling too well.

He was rushed to a hospital in Ikeja, Lagos, then later taken to Lagoon Hospital in the Isl.
Music veterans, Tony Okoroji and Sir Shina Peters have confirmed the incident

Ras Kimono was one of the veterans from the 90’s who continued to remain relevant on the music scene, mentoring and contributing to the Nigerian entertainment industry.

He released his solo debut album Under Pressure on the Premier Music label in 1989, which propelled him to instant continental stardom.

The album had hits like ‘Under pressure’, ‘Rasta Get Jail’ and the massive hit ‘Rhumba style’.

Nigeria has lost a man who uses his music to address or project on society ills and bad governance in Nigeria. Condolences to his family and friends. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
