WORLD CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY



Today 8th march 2017 is celebrated all over the world as International Women’s Day. This year Theme is #BeBoldForChange. Is a day set aside to recognize the importance of women and their achievements to national development. This is done irrespective of their national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political background’
IWD enables women to look back on the struggles and important past achievements with a view of unraveling the immense gift or potentials that future generation of women needs to explore.
The 8th of march is now annually celebrated in some countries while some have even made it to be an official holiday for women take the examples in Nepal, Madagascar, China, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Mongolia and Zambia.
In Lagos Nigeria, Enterprise Development Centre which provides support services for  SMES through Capacity building, Advisory services, Mentoring, Access to market and Partnerships in conjunction with Diamond Bank of Nigeria, today are celebrating women Entrepreneurship with some women speakers that has excelled in their fields in a topic Changing and Impacting  women.
The Nigeria Stock Exchange Lagos, also has an event with the topic “Transcending Gender Limitations”  with notable women as panelists, Prof Bolanle Awe OFR, Betty Irabor, Ngozi Edozien, Ronke Sokefun. Tinuade Awe and Pai Gamde.
