BREAKING: Aisha Buhari Berates Aso Rock Clinic CMD The wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, on Monday publicly upbraided the Chief Medical Director of the State House Clinic, Dr. Husain Munir, over the poor state of the health facility established to take care of the President, Vice-President, their families as well as members of Staff of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. She spoke at the opening of a two-day stakeholders meeting on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa. Mrs. Buhari said a situation where constructions were going on in the health facility that cannot boast of a syringe was not good enough for the country. He recalled that she was sick recently and was advised to travel abroad because of the poor state of the clinic. Why Governments Alone Should Not Be Left To Cater For Education – Professor Omisore Influential Nigerians, groups and associations have been admonished to lend hands of support to governments at all levels to radically transform the country’s education sector. This admonition was given by Professor (Chief) Emmanuel Olufemi Omisore of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife over the weekend while speaking at the 2017 Reunion of the 1982 set of old boys of Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for the suspension of the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikanti Baru. The party warned President Muhammadu Buhari against shielding Baru and others involved in the alleged scam. Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, in a leaked August 30 memo to the President, had detailed how about $25 billion contracts were illegally awarded by Baru without due process.
