CHIBUIKE AMAECHI TO DELIVER 1ST CKN NEWS ANNUAL LECTURE.

The Minister of Transportation, Honorable Chibuike Amaechi has been selected to deliver the first Annual Lecture of Nigeria’s foremost Blog  CKN News . This was announced in a Press Statement pushed out by the online portal. According to the release personally signed by the Publisher/Editor In Chief of CKN News Chris Kehinde Nwandu (CKN), the event will in a class of it’s own. The organizers said, Amaechi was chosen to deliver the inaugural lecture based on his vast experience as a Legislator, former Chief Executive of one of Nigeria’s most viable States, as  a former Student/youth leader, an astute mobilizer, a successful manager of men and resources , a world acclaimed personality and politician, a rare attribute not found in many Nigerians. He will be speaking on the topic:  The Role of Social Media in the Socio-Economic and Political Development of Nigeria . The CKN News Annual Lecture will hold on Tuesday 13th June 2017 in Lagos.

AYO FAYOSE OF EKITI STATE IN ABUJA COURT ON SOLIDARITY WITH IPOB LEADER NNAMDI KANU,

Ekiti State Governor ​ , Ayo   ​ Fayose ​ , is in   ​ c ​ ourt in solidarity with IPOB Leader, Nnamdi K ​ anu, ​   whose   ​ hearing   ​ is set to com ​ mence ​   before Justice Nyako. The governor is now seated at the Federal High Court 4, Abuja. The court had on April 6 fixed   ​ today to deliver ruling in the application for variation of the order of court on protection of witnesses in the case against Kanu. Kanu, through his defence counsels led by Ifeanyi Ejiofor, asked the court to set aside the order made on December 13, 2016 for the protection of witnesses. Kanu’s lawyers argued that having been acquitted of the charges of terrorism and importation of weapons, the defendants cannot be tried with the identities of witnesses based on section 36(6) of the 1999 Constitution. BIZARE AN UNDER GRADUATE KILLS GIRL FRIEND AND DUMPS BODY INSIDE A FREEZER

A man identified as Abdulkarim Njoroge, has been arrested by the Kenya Police authorities for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Irene Kananu, and hiding her corpse in a freezer at his residence. According to Kenyan Star, Njoroge, a 25-year-old university student strangled Kananu in his house in Mtwapa region in Mombasa, following an argument over the deceased’s decision to dump him after he got another woman pregnant.

LG chair aspirant rolls out plan for Mushin people A chieftain of  the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a chairmanship aspirant for Mushin Local Government, Omoshola Omoshebi has vowed to rid Mushin and its environs of criminal activities that the area is known for through people oriented programmes if he is elected chairman of the LG in the forthcoming July 22 council election. According to Omoshebi who is a United States trained security expert, he is going into the elections to serve his people and to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people. “I want to serve the people. A CALL FOR SUPPORT BY AN ABUJA ORPHANAGE THAT HAS PRODUCED TWO GRADUATES

The management of Christ Foundation Orphanage in Kuje, Abuja, says it has produced two graduates and five undergraduates presently at different course levels in universities. Mr Gabriel Okuta, the proprietor of the faith-based home said this on Monday when some group of women paid the management of the home a courtesy visit to donate some gift items to commemorate Easter. He said one of the orphans graduated as a psychologist from Ekpoma University, Edo and she had been posted for her National Youth Service programme. He said the other graduate studied Education Management at the University of Abuja, noting that there were 47 children presently in the home.

A NOTORIOUS ARMED ROBBER NICKNAMED TOMPOLO KILLED IN WARRI DELTA STATE

Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, Enerhen Police Divisional Headquarters in a joint patrol with members of SEDCO Community Vigilante on Sunday, April 9 shot dead a notorious armed robber simply identified as Tompolo for allegedly robbing an unidentified woman at gun point at about 5am while three others escaped with billet wounds in Dugbo Estate, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, DAILY POST is reporting. Tompolo as the suspect is fondly called has been terrorizing the area until he met his waterloo.
