Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung have urged eminent Nigerians home and abroad to encourage programmes targeted at inspiring young people to greatness. The Minister disclosed this in Abuja when he was decorated as a Patron of the Nigerians in the Diaspora Mentoring Corps, (NIDMECORP) by its Commandant General, Alistair Soyode. Dalung who emphasized on the need for young people to be mentored, said youths can be easily distracted and discouraged from achieving their goals if proper mentorship is not followed. The paramount ruler of Igbogbo town in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Oba Semiu Kasali, on Wednesday advocated the provision of constitutional roles to traditional rulers in the country. Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, spoke ahead of activities to officially crown him as the paramount ruler of the ancient town of Ikorodu. There had been discussions for and against granting constitutional recognition to traditional institution within the country’s democratic framework.
