EX-ISRAELI PM SHIMON PERES DIES @93

 Shimon Peres one time President and twice Prime Minister of Israel is dead at the age of 93.  Born in 1923 in Wisniew, Poland, now Vishnyeva Belarus. He was first elected to the Israeli Paliament (Knesset) in 1959. He served in 12 governments. He is seen as a hawk in his early years as he negotiated arms deals for the Israeli nation. He set up Israeli secret nuclear facility. Shimon was defense minister in 1976 when Palitinian hijackers diverted a plane from Israel to Entebbe in Uganda in which 100 were rescued. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Price in 1994 with the late Prime minister Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat the late Chairman of Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO).  He suffered stroke two weeks ago, while his condition was said to be improving but nose dived on Tuesday. NIGERIA PRESIDENT BUHARI APPOINTS 13 EXECUTIVES FOR AGENCIES..

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of 13 Chief Executives in some parastatals and agencies, thereby marking an end to the tenure of various occupants of the positions. A statement issued on Monday evening by the Director of Press and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Bolaji Adebiyi, with Ref. No. PPR/OSGF/PR/03, said the appointments were approved by President Muhammadu Buhari. While Joseph Ari was named Director-General of Industrial Training Fund, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), becomes the Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency. The government also appointed Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote, Executive Secretary of Nigerian Content Monitoring Board, while Osita Anthony Aboloma becomes DG of Standard Organisation of Nigeria. Mamman Amadu is the DG of Bureau of Public Procurement, while the mantle of leadership in Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate fell on Sharon Ikeazor. ...

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo says President Muhammadu Buhari is taking Nigeria out of the wilderness just as Moses took the children of Israel out of Egypt to the Promised Land. He said this at the 56th Independence Anniversary Interdenominational Church Service at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, on Sunday. Osinbajo said the promise of God, includes building a new Nigeria where there would be peace from North-East to the Niger Delta, and where there would be jobs for the unemployed. MALE NYSC SOLICITS SEX FROM 17YR OLD SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRL.

A Secondary school teacher (NYSC) asks 17-yr-old student for sex in the school where he teaches pupils mathematics. It was gathered from a Facebook user has shared the story about how a teenage girl was allegedly being pestered by her Mathematics teacher in Uyo. ”We are no strangers to the abuses girls are plagued with all their lives. MAN ARRESTED FOR BATTERING WIFE'S NIECE.

The Police have arrested Mr. Rasak Alabi for beating his wife's niece Latifat Adeyemi in Ikorodu for using air conditioner. It was alleged that Alabi hit Adeyemi with a spanner and whipped her with a piece of cable last Friday. This prompted the victim to be admitted in the hospital for the wounds she sustained.  After the case was reported, the Commissioner of Police, of Lagos State, Fatai Owoseni, immediately ordered the arrest of the suspect. Owing to the CP intervention Mr. Rasak was located in his hideout in Ikorodu and was subsequently arrested around 1.30pm. His arrest was not easy as he resisted arrest and struggled with the officials, but he was overpowered and got arrested. The case was transferred to the command headquarters. He will face charges if found culpable,” the police spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos commented.    Source Punch.   

KIDNAPPED CHINESE WORKERS FREED BY NIGERIAN POLICE.

The Nigeria Police of Ogun state in southern Nigeria  has rescued two Chinese nationals who were kidnapped there this month, a police official said. Abimbola Oyeyemi, spokesman for the Ogun police, said the two were working for a quarry company in the state, which is just north of the commercial capital of Lagos, when they were taken by unidentified gunman on September 1. “None of them was hurt and no ransom was paid,” Oyeyemi said of the recovery operation. The kidnappers had not been captured but police were on their trail, he said. Source,  Sunnewsonline.
