After 22 digital editions, The Luxury Reporter (TLR) magazine is out with a maiden print edition, Funke Osae-Brown, the magazine publisher has announced. “Indeed, it is good to dream big. The process of realising the dream could be tedious. However, it will be a tragedy not to try. We have dreamt of having a print edition of The Luxury Reporter (TLR) Magazine. So, after doing 22 digital editions which was widely accepted and read globally since December 2015, we are happy to present to you the maiden print edition of TLR in print. For us, this is a major milestone. Despite the challenges, we are happy the first quarterly print edition of TLR is out,” said Osae-Brown. Some Nigerians living in the United Kingdom on Monday protested against the incessant killings of innocent Nigerians by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria. The protest, at Trafalgar Square, London, was convened by Mutual Union of Tivs in the United Kingdom (MUTUK) and was supported by members of the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom. The protesters while chanting, ” Buhari, no more killing,” expressed disappointment on the silence of the Nigerian government. They were seen holding placards with inscriptions like “Nigerian Government stop your silence on Fulani herdsmen’ ‘Blood ‘Nigeria life matters,’ ‘Stop killing Nigerians, Enough is Enough’ among others. Nigerians In South Africa Warned To Be Health Concious As Deadly Disease Kills Scores ~ Health Minister.

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has alerted the Nigerian public to the cases of listeriosis in South Africa which has infected 727 and killed at least 61 people in South Africa in the last one month. In a statement by the spokesperson for the ministry, Mrs . Boade Akinola, the minister called for increased vigilance at the points of entry into the country by the relevant officials while directing the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, to increase their surveillance and monitoring of food items to ensure compliance with safety guidelines. According to the statement, port health officials have also been put on the alert. The statement read in part, "The Nigerian public are advised to wash their fruits and vegetables properly and ensure meats are well cooked before consumption. Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello Denies Buying Cars Or Giving Money To Masquerades, Says They Are Spirits.

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has dismissed reports that he gave masquerades in Okene N2 million and vehicle each. Speaking to state house correspondents after he observed the Ju’maat prayer at the Aso Rock mosque, Bello there was nothing of that nature at all. “I think I’m just hearing that for the first time. But let me just tell you that in Kogi State, first we promote culture, two we don’t give millions to masquerades. “In our culture Masquerades are ancestors, I don’t know how a masquerade will go and spend money? Is it in the grave? “They are supposed to be spirits and I don’t know how masquerades will spend money. There is nothing of that nature at all,’’ he said. On the forthcoming 2019 general election, the governor disclosed that Kogi had already endorsed President Buhari for the presidential election in 2019. KWARA STATE GOVERNMENT VOWS TO JAIL CHILD TRAFFICKERS OR PEDOPHILES CAUGHT IN THE STATE.

The Kwara Government has warned that jail-term awaits people caught in child-trafficking or pedophiles in the state. Dr Asiata Saka, the state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, gave the warning on Saturday during the 2018 New Year party organised for orphans from various reception centers in Ilorin. She said that the government was currently taking care of some children abused by a pedophile father as well as abandoned triplets. She explained that the young girl that was sexually abused by her father went through depression, but currently being rehabilitated by the state government and the father arrested. The commissioner said that three other cases of child abuse were currently being handled in various courts. “We have about 22 children in the state’s reception centres and 40 abandoned babies with the Life Empowers Anchors Hope (LEAH) Foundation belonging to Mrs Omolewa Ahmed, Kwara Governor’s wife.
