Statement by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on the death of his son Kazeem Olajide Babajide (Oct.12, 1980-Oct.31st 2017) We want to express our thanks and deep appreciation to all who have demonstrated their sympathy and expressed their condolences over the loss of our eldest son, Jide. I want to especially thank President Muhammadu Buhari, VP Yemi Osinbajo, the state Governors, distinguished Senators particularly Senate President Bukola Saraki, members of the House of Representatives, APC leaders and members and indeed all Nigerians. I thank the traditional rulers for their display of support. My son was a highly intelligent person with a vibrant personality and a zest for life. He followed his own course and made his own way on his own terms. Those who knew him could not help but like him. NATIONAL Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has lost his son, Jide Tinubu. News heard it that Jide died yesterday in Lagos after a brief illness and has been buried at Ikoyi cemetery according to Islamic rites. LEAKED MEMO!Buhari Endorsed Maina’s Reinstatement; I Warned The President, Says Oyo-Ita maina, reinstatement Winifred Oyo-Ita, head of service of the federation, says she warned President Muhammadu Buhari about the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina, ex-chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), into the civil service. Maina, who had been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of fraud, was reinstated into the civil service under controversial circumstances. He was posted to the ministry of interior. In a memo obtained by The Punch Newspaper, Oyo-Ita said she briefed the President on the matter on October 11, informing him of the “wide-ranging implications” of the move. The memo was dated October 23, 2017, and addressed to Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the President.
