BREAKING NEWS - NNAMDI KANU turns down meeting with SE governors and wrote the following: Before now, prominent leaders and groups had insisted that I tow the line of peaceful dialogue and meet with the governors to find a lasting solution to our grievances. I conceded to that request which led to the 30th of August 2017 meeting with the South-East Governors Forum at the Government House in Enugu, in the company of the very eminent Prof. Ben Nwabueze and Evangelist Elliott Ugochukwu-Ukoh. In view of the concerted effort by the oppressive Nigerian state to shatter the peace and tranquility of the South-East and the rest of Biafraland through military intimidation, it has become necessary for me to clarify why, regrettably, I may not be able to attend Friday’s meeting with the South-East governors as earlier agreed, for three main reasons. 1.) The head coach of Nigeria female U-20 team, Falconets, Christopher Danjuma, said he has players with the experience to beat the Tanzanians in the Africa qualifier for the 2018 female U-20 World Cup. Danjuma who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN)on Wednesday in Benin, said the team was mentally and physically prepared to face the East African team on Saturday in Benin. He said weeks of intensive training and preparation had placed the Falconets in a good stead to beat their opponent in the Africa qualifying series. “Nigeria is a big country and do not settle for less but the best. We are in Benin to give our best. “The Tanzanians are coming to Benin to meet a team that has set a record in Africa at this category of female football. “The team is made up of excellent home based players. According to a Facebook user, named Ideozu Hanson, a man identified as Chidom has allegedly committed suicide yesterday, after he tested positive to HIV in Rivers State. Below is how the Facebook user, is reporting it, "His name is Chidom from Ozochi community in Ahoada East LGA, Rivers State. This just happened in my neighbourhood in Ahoada. He decided to hang himself just because he tested positive to HIV, after discovering his status, he said he was going to kill himself and he did. He left four children and a wife. He is still hanging in the bush as I post" Chidom hanged The sad, incident was said to have taken place yesterday Sunday. MAN IMPREGNATED WIFE'S SISTER, MURDERS BABY BOY 5 DAYS AFTER BIRTH.

BIZARE!Nigerian Man Impregnated Wife’s Younger Sister, Kills Baby 5 Days After BIRTH. BIZARE! The police in Bayelsa State have apprehended a 47-year-old man, Moses Otimba, for killing a five-day-old baby boy he fathered with the younger sister of his pregnant wife. The suspect, according to Punch reports was said to have impregnated the girl, Joy, and allegedly killed the child and buried it in a shallow grave near a river. Otimba, an indigene of Ogbogoro community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state, was said to have carried out the act in connivance with Joy in order to hide the paternity of the baby. Joy, 18, allegedly refused to disclose the identity of the father of her unborn baby throughout the nine months she was pregnant. She lived with her sister and Otimba throughout the period.
