Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, again, on Sunday, left Nigeria for London in the United Kingdom, to visit her husband, Muhammadu Buhari, who has been receiving medical attention in the British capital since May 7. She will however have a stopover in Addis Abba, Ethiopia, before continuing her journey to London on Tuesday. This marks the second time Mrs. Buhari would be visiting her ailing husband since he embarked on his second medical vacation of the year close to 60 days ago.

23 Nigerians landed in Lagos on Tuesday morning after being deported from Spain for various criminal offenses. Airport correspondent reported that nine of the deportees were involved in drug-related offenses and were immediately handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as they landed. Two others were deported for non-drug related criminal activities and were handed over to the Nigerian police at the airport command.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has decried Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, leader, Nnamdi Kanu’s call on Anambra people to shun forthcoming gubernatorial poll in the state. The party, in a letter to Mr. Kanu, signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Ifeatu Obiokoye, and made available to the media in Awka on Monday, said the call was irresponsible and devoid of intellectual focus.

Jose Mourinho has led mourners at his father's funeral in Portugal. Jose Manuel Mourinho Felix  passed away at the age of 79  on Sunday after a battle with illness. A church service was held upon the Manchester United boss' arrival in Portugal. Mourinho  laid his father to rest on Tuesday and was seen carrying the coffin into the church.

A woman claimed to be the world’s oldest person celebrated her 131st birthday on Sunday with some of her 56 descendants in attendance. The China News Service reports that Alimiha Seiti was born on June 15, 1886. Alimiha, who lives in Shule County in the Kashgar region of China’s western Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, says she loves talking to people and often sings when she is in a good mood. The gregarious lady says she loves having visitors and that someone comes to see her most days. Local doctor Abdul Rusuli reportedly checked her over on her birthday and found normal blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
